Ambika Srinath, Systems Engineer

“I grew up and went to school in central Illinois, specializing in computer and electrical engineering and using these skills to work in the medical device space on various giant medical imaging scanners. As a woman working on important diagnostic devices like breast ultrasound scanners, I felt a personal connection to the problems I was solving.

While I’ve always liked the challenges of hardware engineering and digital design, I moved toward systems engineering because I wanted to see the bigger picture. Systems engineering is the centerpiece that integrates hardware, software, and mechanical engineering. As a systems engineer, I could work anywhere, but I love a small company’s feel because each role has the potential for higher impact.

Coming to Bigfoot to lead systems engineering for the Bigfoot Inject program, I saw the opportunity to be part of a close team working on something meaningful in people’s daily lives. I believe in Bigfoot because we’re a team where people are passionate about the tools we’re working on. It’s kind of infectious, surrounding yourself with inspirational people. You can’t help but be inspired.”
